Key Takeaways for the Week of May 15, 2025

• The number of people in the ER with COVID, flu, RSV, and all respiratory illnesses are all at low and stable levels.
• ER visits for respiratory related illnesses are still elevated in the 0-4 population. Just over 1 in 4 kids under 4 years old visiting the ER were diagnosed with a respiratory illness.
• There continues to be an increase in the number of positive tests for rhinovirus and enterovirus. Rhinovirus and enterovirus are known as the common cold.
• Unfortunately, due to technical issues we do not have updated school absence data to share this week.
